Speedy Sneakers is a Great Way to Reach Your Fitness Goals in 2020
The Speedy Sneakers Walking and Running Club is a great opportunity for women in the Columbus area to meet and train with other women of similar physical abilities.
There are groups available for every fitness level and you will be teamed up with a group, running or walking, that you are the most comfortable with. Women also have the option of moving to another group if they would like as their fitness level increases. The groups are broken down by pace so that you are training with women who go the same speed as yourself.
There are two chapters currently available in Columbus. One is located in Dublin and the other is in Westerville. The Dublin group will begin a 12-week program in preparation for the Capital City Half-Marathon in May. The 12-week program will begin in February.
An annual membership is $60 per year. This includes a customized training program, a monthly club newsletter, seminar speakers, a Speedy Sneakers Club race shirt, a free Club Running magazine, and a Sports Authority discount card. Registration can be done on-line.
The Dublin club's winter training will begin on January 15, 2020 at 8:30 am. They will be meeting at Glacier Ridge Metro Park. It is located at 9801 Hyland Croy Road in Plain City.
Speedy Sneakers also has a great Facebook page that offers some great links to informative running articles. They also post information for club members. You do not have to be a part of the Speedy Sneakers Walking and Running Club in order to obtain the information from the Facebook page.
If you are looking for an all women's running club to join in the Columbus area, you should consider Speedy Sneaker's Walking and Running Club. They can accommodate various levels of abilities and is a great support system. It is also an opportunity to take advantage of the social aspect of the club as you take part in the group runs. It is certainly worth checking into.
