Monistat Chafing Relief Gel as an Eyeshadow Primer?
Hmmm...from all the beauty forums out there, this Monistat thing seems to work...
If you can get beyond the embarrassment of browsing through the KY jelly, yeast infection, tampon, and pregnancy test aisle to find Monistat (for feminine chafing), then I guess it would be worth a shot. I have seen other little tiny bottles of eyeshadow primer for upwards of $12, and I can't blame people for wanting to give Monistat a try. You get a lot more product for your buck, and it is designed to protect sensitive skin, after all.
I think they may be onto something. Keeping your eyelids primed so they can keep eyeshadow on, keep it bright, and keep it from creasing is something a lot of women would go nutty for, including myself. Though for the most part, I find that just putting Vaseline or sunscreen on my eyelids works just fine to keep eyeshadow on (it won't flake as bad) and bright all day long.
Since I moisturize my eyelids every day anyhow, in addition to the rest of my face, I must be priming my eyelids without even realizing it. No wonder my eyeshadow (when I wear it) always looks creamy and lasts until the next day (or 2, ha ha). But I had never thought of using Monistat Chafing Relief Gel on my eyes, and I wonder if that would work just as well? After all, when sunscreen drips into the eyes, it can sting like a mother, and Vaseline sometimes feels sticky.
I'm always up for something new, including using hemorrhoid cream on my face for bags (it does work, BTW) and rubbing orange peels on my face for pores. I've never put feminine gel on my face though, but if I'm willing to put butt cream on my face, why not? I bet it works- strange stuff usually does!
