1) Get a headphone jack adaptor from an electronics store that sells wires. If you want to share your Iphone music with a friend you will want to get a longer wire so that two people can listen but if it is just for you then you can go for a shorter wire. 2) Get a sharp knife that you can maneuver which is usually the type that you would have in a toolbox. Make sure that the knife is sharp enough to cut the wire. Find the end that goes into the jack and slice an inch of the rubber casing off of the wire. This will be easy if the wire is coated in rubber but you will need to use the knife to expose the gold piece that should be inserted into the phone. You will want to clean this off because it will have pieces of dirt on it from having been removed from the casing.
3) You can now plug the headphones into the adaptor, which will now fit into your Iphone perfectly. You can also use the other adaptor end to allow a friend to listen along with you, I find that this is the best way to go so you can allow your friends to enjoy your Iphone and turn green with Envy for your new device.
