2020 Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah

The Sundance Film Festival takes place January 17 through 27, 2020 in Park City, Sundance and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Robert Redford founded the Sundance Institute in 1981. The institute is dedicated to the development of artists and their independent vision. According to the Sundance website, the institute has grown into a resource for thousands of independent artists, including filmmakers, screenwriters, playwrights, composers an d theater artists. The institute values creative risk taking and discovery in film making.

Sundance Institute an announced that this year's line up of films were selected from a record number of submissions. This year 121 feature length films were selected from 3,624 submissions.

Park City, Utah is famous for exciting skiing. Film festival attendees often take breaks from viewing of films to hit the slopes to ski or snowboard. There are a number of ski resorts and hotels in Park City and the surrounding area. Park City is about 30 minutes from Salt Lake City.
