Casio G-shock Sports Watch Review
I received a Casio G-shock sports watch model 3335 about a year ago. Ever since, I first received it, I have absolutely loved it.
This watch is also solar, and has a battery meter, so I know when to set it out in the sun. You should be careful charging it though, Iam pretty sure you have to be careful where you set it when you charge it. Now, for the bad. Iam pretty good when it comes to electronics. Usually I do not need to read a manual to operate some new gadget that I just bought. However, this watch, totally confused me. I have to get the manual out and read it a few times. This is not an easy watch to just pick up and use. There are so many different modes, and options, that its just confusing. Another problem is the back light, it is set to come on for just a few seconds, but if you adjust it to last longer, it will drain the battery if you use it alot.
Another problem is the automatic lighting syetem. It is factory set so that you tilt your hand just right, and the back light turns on. Well this really is great and all, but it totally drained the battery on me twice. Both times I had the watch fully charged, so you might want to look in the manual and find how to disable that ability, unless you are out in the sun all day long. Another problem is the atomic ability. If you have the atomic clock mode enabled, every night/morning at midnight, 2am, and 4am, the watch will sync up via a radio signal with the main atomic clock, the one every other atomic device syncs up to. The problem is, sometimes, the watch will have problems receiving the radio signal. So if you decide to do the atomic mode, you should not really have any problems unless you are in a really huge city. If you are, then consult the manual. One good thing about this watch is that the manual pretty much explains everything.
So, all in all, this watch makes an excellent gift for someone who is into technology. In my opinion, this watch is going to last whoever owns it a really long time. I have hit it on walls, put it in water, dropped it, and so on, and it still runs perfect. This is truly one of the best technologically advanced sports watch there is.
