Great Running Songs
Find some excellent songs to add to your running playlist!
Proud (Richard Niles) - This song is used as the theme song to "The Biggest Loser" television show. If you watch the show, you know why the song is motivating. Even if you don't, if you listen to the lyrics, you will hear the motivating words and be able to pick up your pace a little bit as you run! Feel proud of your running accomplishments!
Beverly Hills (Weezer) - This song is a fun song, the lyrics aren't necessarily motivating but the beat is fun and the lyrics are funny. It's just a good rhythm and a good song to crank up the volume for.
I Run for Life (Melissa Etheridge) - It took me a long time before I could play this song during a run without getting teary-eyed. It's a very moving song, but also has a great beat for jogging. I certainly makes you consider what you are running for.
Suddenly I See (K T Tunstall) - Another song that may help you pick up the pace when you start to drag. It's a fun song that might put some spring back in your step.
I'm Yours (Jason Mraz) - I've always enjoyed this song, but when I listened to it on a run I found the beat to be a pretty good pacer. It's actually somewhat slow but gives a pretty easy going pace and a fun song to listen to.
Hollywood Nights (Bob Seger) - I first worked out to this song in a spinning class (and the outcome of the class is another story all together) but the speed of the song is awesome and can really get you going. Sometimes I'll play it on repeat during a really tough patch of a run.
Move Along (The All-American Rejects) - This song is a recent favorite of mine. I love it as a running song because it is two-fold. It has awesome lyrics that can lift your mental block and it starts out with the best beat at just the right speed. It is another song worth cranking the volume for!
