And this is a high intensity training can do you'll reach your maximum heart rate by sprinting on for a full minute, then your heart rate will recover to about 70 to 50% of that during the rest phase. When you spend more time in this ideal fat burning and metabolic boosting heart rate, your metabolism will go through the roof! Your metabolism will also be tested for not only the rest of the day it will stay posted for the rest of the week. And that is the secret to burning fat. Most of the fat burning is in the 23 other hours that you're not doing your work out and the workout is just there to boost your metabolism.
But there are many different ways to do high-intensity interval training and my personal favorite is the stationary bike. I've been doing this type of cardio on my stationary bike for about five weeks and I've lost about 4% of my body fat (if you want to know how to calculate your body fat I will write that in another article). Up now because I've been doing this same method for about five weeks it would be ideal for me to switch my cardio to something else just to keep my muscles guessing. I will probably switch my cardio to actual running. So my next cardio workout will be three minutes of warming up, meaning doing some stretches after I do some jumping jacks or maybe some light jogging. Then while I have a lot of energy I'll jump right into the high-intensity. I'll sprint, full on 100% for a minute, then jog for two minutes. I will most likely complete around for rounds of that cycle, and I guarantee you that I will be completely exhausted by the end. Following my workout I'll try to consume as much high-quality lean fiber as I can, according to my nutritional plan. The key to getting a faster metabolism is also becoming more muscular because the more muscle you have the more energy you use throughout your day.
